The pitfalls of online shopping

Well, I'm annoyed that I can't seem to find a pair of vivo barefoot sneakers anywhere in my size, or that could possibly be shipped to me.

On top of this, I'm a little frustrated with amazon. It used to be just about anything could be shipped to Australia using amazon.com. Now everytime I try to purchase something from there, I'm told it can't be shipped to Australia. (My brother used to buy all his DVD's from Amazon - now unless its a region 4 DVD - they don't sell them - it can't be shipped to Australia and you still can. See comments).

I'd be happy to be proved wrong here.

Is there anything on amazon that is actually sold by amazon anymore?

Back to trying to find vivo barefoot shoes. I went to the manufacturers website/online shop. They only have the ones I'm after in a white UK size 7. Thats it. Totally disappointed. (oh wait, they have GREEN shoes. Do I look like a leprechaun?)

On the plus side, my ATA turned up today and worked like a charm. Talked to my brother for about a half hour. Now all I have to do is get internet sorted at the new place and everything will be good.

Why can't there be a Rushfaster shop for shoes here in Oz as well ...

RE: DVDs and Amazon.

That's odd, because I recently bought the third season of Veronica Mars off Amazon, and all they told me was this:

"Important Message
Please note: Your order contains at least one Region 1 (Canada and U.S.) encoded DVD. Region 1 DVDs might not play in DVD players sold in the country where this order is being shipped. Please also note that some Region 1 DVDs contain a Regional Coding Enhancement. Some of our international customers have had problems playing these enhanced discs on their “region-free” DVD players. Learn more about DVD region encoding and formats. To modify your order, edit the quantities below."

Whoops ... that makes me wrong.

I guess I'm buying the wrong stuff.
