As with anyone in life, I always have a number of projects going on at one time. I've whittled it down to only a couple I guess. Here's my list:

  • Me. Though I've failed to recognise it fully until recently, this year has been all about improving myself. From starting some exercise, to getting my finances in order to moving out with Jess to getting our shit together. Now that I've got myself somewhat sorted I can concentrate on improving my knowledge - something that has been lacking for quite a few years now.

    • With regards to exercise, I started out this year not knowing how to exercise by myself or for myself. Since sticking with boxercise now I know what I need to do in order to give myself a decent workout alone. I've also come to terms with my "road warrior" job and fitting exercise and healthy eating around it.

    • Healthy eating: so much better than last year. Except for all of June, have been on and off again when it comes to healthy eating.

    • In general, I just know so much more about my body and the signals it is giving out. And, with only six weeks to go until the end of the year, I have my fingers crossed and am hoping I don't get a gastro bug or anything going around. This year will mark a full 12 months - probably more than that but who is counting - of good health, not being sick at all. Not one bit. No flu, no colds, no stomach bugs. Pending check up next Monday, I have never felt healthier.

  • I snavelled a printer from work and am going to clean it up and use it. It is not a particularly challenging project, but it is a good printer and I think Jess might appreciate it.

  • Superannuation: I've never taken much notice of it. Going to switch to a fund with lower fees - was shocked to receive my statement and find they had taken out $800 in fees. I intend to get it sorted out. Maximum value is what I'm after.

  • Finances really deserve their own heading. Jess and I have various "funds" going at the same time, where spare cash is dropped in whenever we can. There's also specific debts to be paid off, which we are doing steadily. Currently there is:

    • Spare bed fund - Paul and Lorrae are coming to stay after Christmas. We need an extra bed.

    • PS3 fund - this would be my fund. Will be pawning the Wii shortly to pay for it. Very excited about this.

    • Couch debt (still interest free) - About half left to pay off, not including the ottoman which still hasn't turned up.

    • Jess's new laptop - Interest free on my account at work. Still to pay off.

    • My tax bill - Haven't started paying yet but will, probably third week of November. Will be a tight six weeks while I pay it back.

    • New phone for me - Have finally made a decision to pay off at least two of the above three debts before I get this put on my account at work. (Current choice: HTC Touch Pro)

  • Finally there's a couple books I'm trying to go through. It is difficult to find time or motivation to get into them.

Okay, maybe more than a couple. I'd say turning 30 was not just a milestone in terms of time spent alive, it was a milestone in terms of my quality of life.

I don't play it much anymore. I'm using it as a DVD player (not a very good one at that) plus I'm keen on playing a lot of the games that just aren't released on Wii.

It'll be tough (man super smash bros brawl looks good) but in the end I think it'll be worth it.

Fair enough.
How much were you hoping to get for it?

Actually I was going to sell it to a co-worker (my PSP went the same way about a month ago). This fell through last week as his long-term gf dumped him and screwed one of his best friends. Price was $450 for the lot which includes:

Extra controller + 2 nunchuks
Classic Controller
Recharging station for 2x controllers
Wii Play
Wii Sports
Super Mario Galaxy
Zelda Twilight Princess
Warioware
Guitar Hero III
Red Steel

Plus the whole lot has got a sexy skin, including the GH3 guitar (yay flaming skulls).

Arrived at this figure as EB would have given me $225 for the basic system + wii play, and about $60 for GH3. I'd be lucky to get $350 for the lot so I figure $450 is a reasonable amount.

Nagare_Boshi has entered the ring!
How would you feel about $400, and a barely-been-touched copy of Resistance: Fall of Man for your PS3?
