Your Christmas tree sucks

So Emma was keen on buying a Christmas tree. "Lets go shopping with the boss next Thursday, we all have the day off so lets make a day of it in Rocky!" [Rocky is 250 kms away, roughly 2.5 hrs drive).

Hey, I think I'm allowed to be under the impression she meant "Lets buy a little Christmas tree and some decorations ..."

We got to the checkout with this trolley buried under a giant mound of Christmas tree decorations, with an even bigger box poking out underneath.

How much would YOU spend on a Christmas tree? $50? $100? $200?

Not nearly enough. Hah. Cheapskates!

How about $400?

We now have the best looking Christmas tree in Emerald, I swear. I think its even better than the crap ones in the two shopping centres here, which says a lot about how crap the shopping centres really are.

Note: I'm not really bothered by the price. Well really only a little. Maybe Emma injected my milk with something on the way down? We still managed to buy Silverchair's Diorama album and also the Android's CD single (because it was $2 ... now thats how much a CD single should cost!).

LOL, it sounds almost as if you've got the best xmas tree of the whole Emerald/Central Queensland region. Think of it this way, if you spend that money this year, imagine that you wont have to spend it again for next year? Or am I assuming too much, does it have to be different every year?

My mum was kind enough to send me down some chrissy decorations a couple of years back when i first moved down to melb, I don't have any forms of plant life, otherwise I would decorate that, but I still decorate my flat a little. The whole racing theme in my flat gets a little bit christmassier, strange contrast :P

BTW, sorry I couldn't chat with you the other day, I was out with a girl. When you asked if I wanted to have dinner with you, I was kinda like "errr... what do i do?", I couldn't just fob off a girl on the first date, but I couldn't say no to u either... Still don't know to this day what I would of done...

We're about due for our yearly chat at some stage soon dude. can you email me your Home phone number and a time that would suit you if you wanna chat. dragoll@hotmail.com

Have Fun!

Heh no I realised that when we were going through the checkout. If you'd inspected my face closely at the time, you might have seen a small hint that I was surprised, followed by my bored look. I understood. It was a once-off necessary evil.

Heh, it'd be funny if someone else sent their home phone number to you :p
