When was the last time you bought a CD and actually played the CD? For me, its been quite some time. I think the last time I really did it (and not just because I'd left the CD in the drive after ripping it) was back when I last used my brothers car.

The only time I buy a CD these days is because its either a) not available to download using BitTorrent (or G2P), or b) not in some online mp3 back catalogue. And even then, I usually only have it in the tray long enough to rip it.

Likewise for tv shows and movies. It's simply easier to download what I want to watch, and schedule time to myself to watch it. Maybe I'll get a decent dvr setup sorted when I eventually move into a place with decent channels. PSPVideo9 works a treat too - it's always a 25 minute bus ride to work (in a staff shuttle with not many people!) and a 35 minute bus ride back home. Which gives me just enough time for say, an episode of CSI or a couple episodes of Drawn Together/Robot Chicken/other awesome cartoons. It's easy enough to queue up a bunch of stuff to convert before I go to bed, and copy it over quickly when I get up.

Hail to the future.

Oh, and MySpace blows ...

I know MySpace blows, but it's the only way I can keep up with old friends from high school, so I don't care...and I never look at the stupid ads anyway :p muahaha!
