Old man bites tenderly

Well, a few "exciting" developments this past week.

  • I actually got christmas presents for everybody. Including Jess. Even though they won't get there till after Christmas (what with how fast they deliver things outside London)

  • I've finished selling all my gear on eBay. Made, on average, about $300 USD. Which is nice. I don't need the CD's, DVD's, or PSP games. I never played any of them anyway.

  • Will be getting Every Extend Extra quite soon now.

  • Donated a pile of books to Oxfam.

  • Got to watch an advanced screening of "Night at the Museum" this morning. Fantastic movie - it's rated PG but well worth seeing even if you're an adult.

  • Big Xbox night last night (Saturday). Robert and Les, a couple of guys that we occasionally work with, have a side business setting up Xbox parties for people. They brought their gear around free of charge and so we had a ball of fun for a while playing Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon and of course Halo 2. Paul totally kicks ass in Halo 2. I'm still mediocre in everything, still a load of fun.

  • The buying of flights is fast approaching. Have made plans to have them paid for, hopefully just before or just after NYE (which is about on time for us).

  • Landlady threatened me, saying she would withhold my deposit/bond because I gave them less than two months notice that I was leaving. If she presses for it I'll mention the leaky ceiling in my room and the gaping hole in the kitchen. Oh and lets not forget the water/mould damage in the bathroom.

  • Got myself a Christmas present, to take with me on the trip: The Dangerous Book for Boys. The conkers and marbles sections probably won't hold my interest for long, though there is plenty of other stuff to keep me occupied.

  • This clip is awesome.

Thats all. Merry Christmas all!
ps, i love all these new themes

Nah not yet. Was almost going to get a chance to play Wii on the projector but it fell through at the last minute.

No consoles till Australia I'm afraid. Kind of difficult to lug through Europe/Russia/China ...

There's actually not that much to hear, given that the contestants aren't allowed to make any noise. Just a whole lot of quiet giggling and sniggering at everyone else's misfortune.

The old man at the end did nearly have me in tears.
