No cause could be so worthy

Here's my inner geek coming out.

What FireFox extensions do you use?
Here's mine (should be able to find all these on the Firefox addons site):
  • Adblock Plus - Used to use the adblock with filterset.g updater, but found the filterset a bit harsh (it would completely wipe out the navigation bar in Yahoo! mail)

  • Fasterfox - Speeds up browsing and gives you a neat page load timer in the status bar.

  • Colorful tabs - Subtle but effective.

  • Fission - turns the urlbar into a page load fill bar.

  • Flashblock - Should go under Adblock Plus. Just started using this, it seems pretty handy. Flash ads have been annoying me lately.

  • Image zoom - Handy when viewing large pictures or smaller ones.

  • Menu editor - In a lifehacker article they linked to a guide on how to minimise the space toolbars and menu bars take up. I've always used menu editor, but now I have everything down to one menu/toolbar at the top and the status bar at the bottom, maximising viewing area.

  • del.icio.us - This is a companion extension for my del.icio.us account. Best to get this extension from their website, as there is a couple of crap ones on the mozilla website. If you've never used an online bookmarking service be warned, you'll never go back to browser-based bookmarks again. (My username is plowna on del.icio.us)

  • Stylish - I usually have greasemonkey installed but I haven't found that many scripts for greasemonkey that I actually find that useful (except maybe the Google Reader re-design). Stylish lets you add scripts that will redesign web pages that you visit to look better. Some of the stylish mods I have installed:

    • Delicious restyle - soft green. I actually hacked this to change it back to the default but I've found an even better one that integrates nicely with this ...

    • delicious vibes. Makes del.icio.us look about a million times better.

    • Also the del.icio.us nicer tagcloud - makes the tagcloud behave like it should (oft-used tags stand out more)

    • Gmail super clean

    • Google tahoma (whats not to love about tahoma??

    • Livejournal remove navbar ... Sorry Brad but I hate the navbar.

    • There's more but I don't have my flash disk plugged in

  • UnPlug and Videodownloader. UnPlug examines the content of a page and gives you links to download it, Videodownloader contacts a website for information about how to download videos. Don't use these much anymore.

  • Newest addition - fuzzy clock. Does what it says, displays a nice fuzzy clock in the status bar.

Interesting post. I'm now using the colourful tabs and fuzzy time too :)

Other extensions I use are Flashgot, Long Titles, Net Usage Item, and Talkback. I used to have Tabbrowswer Extensions but they don't support the most recent version.

Everyone has talkback installed ... I don't think its uninstallable ... I'll have a look at them.

You must realize that you are speaking a foreign language on this entry:-) !! I haven't met you yet, but you're about to be my nephew-in-law. I hope to meet you soon, but just reading your entries, I feel like you're the perfect fit for Jessie. I pray that God will bless your marriage and your years together, Steve. Until we meet, best wishes on your job, your finances, your relationship with your dad, your life with Jessie and all that!
