Its a nice big house, though unfortunately without our own vehicle Jess is kinda stuck all the way out here by herself most of the time.
The broadband should be back on by this time next week, I'll just have to try and organise a time I can be out at the beach to fix Dad's computer and pick up the ADSL modem.
My six week trial is technically up, so Monday I'll ask the boss what he is doing about my pay (as far as I can tell, it is far below what all the other techs are earning).
The major things that happened this week: Jess mailed away her application to get her tourist visa, I applied for a bank loan (*fingers crossed*), we set a date to actually get married at the courthouse here in Mackay (18th June, 11am, Brisbane Street courthouse - please let me know if you can make it) and most importantly, Jess decorated our new bedroom to her satisfaction.
So things are starting to look up. Until I actually get my own car or my own work car I'll have no way of getting out to Sarina and back to fix the modem.
I know that I'll probably have my own work car for sure in early June, as the senior tech will be on holidays for two weeks and there's not enough techs to go around to get all the work done.
I have gotten my own work laptop, I'm just waiting on my Xerox tech account to be updated so I can access all the service manuals on it.
Here's one last reason why my job is terrible:
Thats me on the top deck of the transfer ship cruising back to mainland after spending the day at Hayman Island, a five star resort catering to the rich. Upshot: being on Hayman Island. Downshot: having to work on copiers all day. Us peons don't get to see the *actual* resort, just the offices behind the scenes. So yes, Hayman Island last Wednesday.

Oh and I know that deep down, you still love me like a brother. =) =)
Just watch out for the sharks!
I can see why sharks MIGHT BE ABLE to swim up close. Wouldn't stop me swimming there ... jellyfish might though.
Upload those photos!!
