I'm just a soul whose intentions are good

Yesterday was a long, tiring and frustrating day for me. It didn't help I only got about 2.5 hours sleep.

I had to travel all the way out to Eungella early in the morning, and the majority of my time there was spent on a couple of old PowerPC's, trying to get them both to use the same printer. For some stupid reason one of them refused to reinstall the printer driver, spouting something about a problem accessing the disk. Yes, I know, restart with extensions off, move the Fonts folder from the System folder. Neither of these did anything.

Then the afternoon was spent at Finch Hatton, where two PC's on one side of a managed switch were simply bouncing off the state proxy; whereas a single machine on the other side of a managed switch were being accepted, no problems at all. Frustrated, I stomped off to uni to meet Jesse.

The point to meeting Jesse was to drag my computer over his house so he could leech some stuff from my pc onto his new 45gb hdd. He'd also just bought a brand new 1.2Ghz Athlon (completely with FOP-32 7k rpm cooler). He didn't have Win98 set up on it, so I agreed to do it all for him while we sat around and watched Simpsons. It was cool though, Jesse provided the beer (home brew tallie, heh thanks Jess =) and the food, so I was happy =)

Somewhere in all this I was supposed to:

  • Get over to Darryl's place to fix a couple of other pc's
  • Buy a case of beer
  • Buy some stuff for my cat (litter, food)
  • Get my W2K cd back from Jono.

I dragged my PC over to Cage's place at about 10:30pm. Note "drag my pc" instead of get my CD; the CD had had coffee spilled on it and so was ruined. I copied the files from Jono, listened to his flatmate about D2 for a while, then declared myself tired (which I most certainly was) and took off home.

Doesn't this kinda stuff normally happen on the weekend? :P Seriously... Stay home more often, man. Sleep is vital to your continued existance on this plane. Well, that's what I've found.

Even if sleep is only for the weak. ;)

Yeah, yeah, rub it in why dont you :P :)

Hey, I'm sure Joel was glad to have someone to talk to who was at least pretending to listen. :P

I didnt say much cause once he starts its hard to shut him up. I wasnt ignoring YOU, I was ignoring my flatmate, if that makes any sense.

Sorry about the CD, I'll burn another one for you ASAP (and myself :).
