From 0 to 100 percent

My life is a fill bar.

It goes from 0 to 100 percent.

Everything does. It never stops. When it gets to 100 on one fill bar, it turns into another one, starting at 0, and ending when it gets to 100 percent.

I hate fill bars.

Even wget has fill bars.

If I ever get a chance to kill Bill Gates, then I will, and leave a note that says "I did this because you popularised fill bars."

Say no to fill bars when you are developing.

And with Office 2000, the fill bar doesn't actually do anything. It fills from left to right, clears, and does it again until its finished installing.

There must be a better way.

Then there's the amusing "rotating" fill bars on Macs, and backwards-moving fill bars in Netscape...

... and the fill bars on experimental napster clones that tell you you've downloaded 1359% of the file and mysteriously segfault the parent app when the download finishes ...
