Since I left you

Long entry. Wouldn't mind being to LJ cut it up into sections, that would be handy.

First up, new music.
[ Me ]
The Avalanches - Since I left you
Gerling - Children of Telepathic Experiences
Gerling - When young terrorists chase the sun
28 Days & Apollo 440 - Say what? (EP)

[ Emma ]
Jeff Buckley - Grace
Robbie Williams - Sing when you're winning
Smashmouth - (whatever their latest album is)

[ Not really music ]
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - Audio book (8 CD's)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkhaban - Audio book (10 CD's)
(Prices, incidentally: Chamber of Secrets - $90, Prisoner - $100, Goblet of Fire $190, but only because it has 18 CD's).

Christmas haul:
Ricoh MP7200A CD-R/RW (Bwahaha)
Mr. Twister Moo Mixer (This thing is so awesome. If all I got for Christmas was this I would be happy)
DSE 27-Piece Toolkit (I told them I needed one because I lost mine - and then I found it)
Boxers and handkerchiefs from Grandma
$50 AUD from Grandad
3 Books from Emma's parents (Two by Sara Douglass (The Nameless Day, Book One of The Crucible, and Book Three of another series. The third was Gridlinked by Neal Asher)
A Lotus watch from Emma (Means I don't have to wear my 21st gold watch everywhere)

(The Avalanches' album is excellent - I love it!)

Since in Brisbane I have been staying with Emma on the top floor of these apartments. Very nice. Every day we would wake up, and do something. At first I was pleased, then it got annoying. There were a couple days when I just wanted to go back over to my brother's place and jump on the net or just on my computer, but it would just be too awkward if all of a sudden I didn't want to go anywhere with them.

In any case, I've done lots of stuff in Brisbane. Now its time to go back to Emerald. End of holiday.

I have a few things to say to this, but I should probably put them in my own journal, so I will. Basically, though, I want them Harry Potter audio books, I think I've got the space. ;)

Cool stuff. Good to hear there's been good things happening -- and now I think I'll just trail off uselessly because I forgot what I was going to say.

As soon as I get my hands on them, I will oggify them, burn them to cd's and send them. I'll also send you my copy of the first book, too.

I'll also send you some of the other stuff when it all gets properly encoded and tagged etc. Now that I have all my old cd's back from my brother, I'll have to re-rip and encode them at some stage too.

Oooh oooh, not to be greedy or anything, but me too! :) I want them audio books too :) Pwwweeeeese. I was actually planning on asking Damian to send some other stuff over, and I was going to put some money in his account to cover this, so if I give a bit extra to cover the cost of postage and the cd's will you give me a copy too?

This is of course if you want to chance the risk of sending them too me. If you don't want to, I can wait till August when I come back to get them. I think if you send stuff there is a chance that customs will pick up on it, so there is a bigger risk over copyright stuff.

Err I've babbled on quite long enough now. I'm glad you had such a good christmas/new years. Mine was really quite similar, just a LOT colder ;)

Simple things amuse simple minds. I was a bit worried when some moisture got into the battery/motor area after I washed it, but I let it dry and obviously don't wash the base anymore.

It kicks ass.
